Climate Change Solutions Can't Be Ideological

Welcome to my first blog post. Thanks for being here.
I learned a long time ago that solving the problems we have with climate, the environment and resources requires the input of many people. Real climate change solutions will always come from collaboration, not from one individual or ideology.
No single person has the answer. Strict ideologues on the right and the left seem to think they do, and tyrants and autocrats just act impulsively for their own benefit.
My specialty of sustainability demands knowledge of practically everything. But I don't have the capacity to do that, nor does anyone else. My knowledge just skips along the peaks of mountains, while other's may get right down into the soil in the valley.
An individual's knowledge and experience is just an ink dot on a sheet of paper in a room full of ink dots - quintillions of them. We know almost nothing about how our planet functions. What is the process by which an oyster cements itself so firmly to a rock? What is Western Australia's best solution for secure and safe power supply? Someone, somewhere, may know the answers to these questions. We need lots of ink dots.
Our world is infinitely complex and it demands the input of those who understand and can interpret that complexity. Many things stand in the way of wise social decisions. Ideologues are not helpful. If we want to understand our place on this planet and how to run society, we should increase public input from those who know science and the interaction of humans with the natural world.
We are here! Let's make it last.
Royce
